hello, i know this is a old post but i am looking to get into galen april, 2015. I want to work full time and i got a job 8 to 5pm and im afraid its going to conflict with the clinical time (you mentioned you had clinicals from 5pm and on). What hours did you work and were the galen staff understandable when it comes to these type of issues. I dont want to get kicked out because im showing up late to class or clinicals

They are sticklers for time so try to get your employer to work with you regarding timing of classes. All of my clinicals were 6:30am-6:30pm so it had to be on a day off. I did work full time but luckily I had PTO to use when needed.

Also i will be taking hesi exit version 4 can anyone help with this. i don't know what to study and I'm taking the hesi for the second time to pass the quarter! PLEASE HELP

I transferred 21 credits, I think is 25 is the max limit to transfer. I transferred 3 science classes, English, Lifespan, and Sociology. I did not have intro to lit or Math, so I took those at Galen.

Can you CLEP these classes for galen?

Can you CLEP these classes for galen?

Galen only takes CLEP scores for college algebra and English composition to my knowledge.

It, to myself knowledge, determines your success down the line, especially for the NCLEX. It's also a good way to gauge where your weaknesses and strengths lie.

But are you required to take the hesi after you actually start the program at Galen? I know the the PAX is required to enter the program

I attend the Galen San Antonio campus. During the LVN program, it was a requirement for us to pass the HESI in order to pass medsurg. From what I'm hearing, they changed it from HESI to ATI for the bridge program, and I believe the requirement to pass the ATI is the same as HESI--it's needed in order to progress to the next quarter.
