As a single mother of an 8 year old, I'm realizing the 3 key components in completing this LPN to RN adventure. Finances, Determination and lots and lots of prayer! LOL! Feeling the weight of life, and trying not to be stressed is what I'm learning to do. I know that all things will work together for good for me and hopefully if you're reading this, and faced with alot yourself...please be encouraged by this post, and never cease reaching your dreams! :D Just through my writing this post, I'm feeling a light twinkle over my head whispering "everything will be fine! Just keep swimming!"

Thank You! Needed that!

You're Welcome!! :yeah:

I really like your screen name! I have been telling myself since I started the bridge program . . . "I can do anything for 9 months." Then "I can do anything for 8 months, etc." Here we are about to wrap up the first semester and I can see preceptoring from here!Good luck to you!

Your screen name is AWOSOME!! I love it.

As my final semester of preqs has just came to an end, I find myself excited, nervous and in shock that I have made it this far. I to am a single parent to an 8yr old and I am scared and nervous about the struggles that lie ahead of me next month (start the bridge program Jan. 9th).

Thank you so much for this post, I know we have a hard and tough road ahead of us for the next year but with prayer, some tears and determenation we will get there.

What a great post. I became a LPN in 2009 and just completed my RN program 3 days ago. Please stay encouraged. I never thought I would make it. I was not really able to work because my job was not understanding of my school schedule. I went from making really good money as a LPN to making little to nothing just to finish school. There were so many days where I thought, this is it... I'm not going to make it through RN school. With prayer and dedication I finally completed the program. I owe all praise to God for allowing me to complete the program. The program itself was not that hard it was just the stressors of life.

Wishing you all well. Please wish me well as I prepare for my NCLEX.
