your school nclex mock board......test

Hello, I was wondering do your school have nclex mock board tests.these are tests you practice before you go to take your state board nclex exam? . If so, was these practice test difficult? Also, I was told that these are mandatory before you can get a date to take your nclex exam.

I went to a technical school for LPN, we used ATI through out the program, and then at the end we have a 180? mock board test, it was difficult. I only scored a 78% on it. However that translated into a 98% chance of passing NCLEX on first attempt. At first I thought it was a crock, but I ended up passing on first attempt and i got asked the minimum amount of ?s for LPN boards which is 85. I felt like the questions were somewhat similar but with NCLEX being a little more vague.

The RN nursing program that I attended required the ATI test and to pass to graduate. I beleve the same is for LVN school.

ATI offers a Kaplan type pre-NCLEX computer practice test program. If you are concerned about passing the ATI test, sign up for there on line program that gives you lots of test questions and rationales for the questions.
