So in the state of Arizona the completely took away the NET test. I'm in the process of finishing my application for an LPN program at a college and I need to take the HESI A2 as part of it.... I'm extra nervous. THANK goodness I only have to do the Math, Grammar, and vocab portion. Does anyone know where I can find only practice test for the math that are FREE?

I never found any online tests, but I did use the mosby "evolve reach" exam review and it had much more detailed material than I needed to prepare.

It's been 20+ years since I took H.S. algebra, and I scored 96% on the math, so this isn't much of a math test.

My biggest suggestion would be to slow down, and "reality check" your answers, many of the questions are so basic that you don't even need the calculator to pick one of the answers.

Get a full night's sleep before taking the test, and stop for a McMuffin ( but NO coffee!) before the test. They wouldn't let us out to use the restroom once we went in.

I got a HESI A2 review book online for $7 delivered. It was brand spanking new!

The HESI A2 is easier than the NET because you can use a calculator if you need too. So don't sweat it! Just brush up on basic algebra (isolate the variable), decimals, percents and fractions. Take a notebook and a pencil, & hit the public library and look through the GED book's Math section! ( Hint )

Oh and if you happen to find an open copy of a Nurse Entrance Exam book somewhere in your travels ( its yellow ) just brush up on the Vocab in it.

Which school are you applying to? If you can go with the Southwest Skill Center. It's newer in curriculum and the staff seems very helpful. I have a friend who is in the Maricopa and he says it's really hard and most of the students have bad experiences. He would rather go to the Southwest Skill Center. Their facilities are great too. They have a practice lab available most of the time that you can practice in too. Good luck on the Hesi
