hello all

I am really in need of some helpful study tips I feel so overwhelmed I don't have a clue as the best way to cover 3 to 5 chapters in three days and have a test on the 4th day.

I have been trying to read the entire chapters and answer as many of the chapter questions as I can but it has just been so overwhelming . Anatomy & physiology is killing me. If there is anyone out there who can help pls help me :uhoh3:

Hi,

This doesn't work for everyone but what works for me is to make my note cards as I skim through the chapters. If I just read it I wouldn't remember anything but as I make my cards I think about what might be exam questions and just try to grab the important stuff. If your exams come from a test bank definitely do the questions in the back of the book and study guide if there is one because you might see them again. Good luck,

Jules

P.S. I love your name!

I don't have advice for your present situation, since you have three days to cover for this exam, but in the future, I can advise that time management is of essence. Anatomy is a very detailed, time consuming and complicated course for most students. What I used to do is pay close attention to the syllabus, to know what dates that subjects would be discussed and when tests and quizzes were due so that I would organize my studying attack.

What Jules mentioned about note cards are a great idea. I used to purchase stickys, and rephrase difficult concepts in words that I understood, and also purchased yellow highlighters and red pens. There was something about this combination that made me remember material. Do not be afraid to mark up your textbooks...you brought them, they are yours to keep. Finally, I made concept maps that illustrated step by step what was happening so I could remember the order. Now, I can't remember much about anatomy, except for main points, but this helped me to survive. Good luck.

thanx for the tips I have been really working on time management but I always feel so overwhelmed. I have been really down in the dumps the 2 ladies that were in my study group have left the program and know its me by myself to find a new study group:( I have no intentions on giving up and yes I know anything worth having you will work hard for it but jeezy peezy mama said it would be days like this .
