Finally, school is just about here!!!And I'm so excited! But I was wondering, I had to order all of my books prior to my first day. There is literally like 42lbs of books(w/all of the cds and accompanying things that go with the books). I had emailed the secretary because it is still summer vaca where I am so she's in and out. This was about a week ago. Anyways, my question is should i bring all of my books? I mean even without all of the accompanying material, the books are so heavy and dont even fit into my backpack!!!! We havent recieved any schedules of what our day is going to be like, with what classes where, what days we are gonna be @clinicals, I Dont even know if they split us up for clinicals(which would be nice to know since my friend doesnt have a car and lives next door to me- so I will be her chauffer in the morning. It would be nice to know because i also have to bring my son to daycare every morning and I'd hate to leave her stranded if they did split us and she didnt have a ride, but I do have to look out for me). The school is very reputable but it is just very aggrivating and all i can say is thank god for this website. I got the best info, now that I'm in this situation, to get a backpack with wheels!!!!

Maybe Im just stressing over nothing, But i am gonna call tomorow and if i dont get an answer, I am gonna bring them all and leave the heavy heavy ones in my car and just tell them i need to run out!!!

I'd bring all the books, and perhaps invest in an oversized backpack on wheels to avoid having to lift this 40+ pound load. I wouldn't bring unnecessary attention to myself by placing phone calls to the secretary regarding this issue, but that's just me.

Good luck with school!

Hmm... recalling back to my first day... we didn't need any books at all. But honestly, if I didn't know ahead of time... I would probably bring them. Like the previous person stated... backpack on wheels is a lifesaver! Good luck!! :o)

My school, set it up so the people that carpool, will have their clinicals together. Also, I would take the books, perhaps leave them in the car, and just take a notebook in at first.
