In process of possibly starting LPN school in Oct. Questions?!

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

I am trying to really figure out if I am going to do the LPN program I got accepted into for October days (M-Thurs. 8-2). I graduated from a private Catholic college in Dec 2010 with an A.A.S. in Medical Assisting. I did really well however didnt have that good of experience lack of hands on experience etc. I started working in a hospital starting May 2011. I was a nurse assistant for short period of time bid and got unit clerk position that I was recently bumped out of and now I am training in pharmacy as a tech (not by choice). So I have been looking for full time especially within the same health system but havent had luck.

So I was considering going for LPN a few months ago, then kinda put on back burner, but have started thinking about it again since no full time job yet also. I am already on the Oct list. So I finally made my financial aid appointment for next Tuesday. Seeing if I can pay for school is another thing. Besides paying for school, I am concerned with how the heck I can make my job work with school? I worked in the past and always was fulltime at college but I worked somewhere else and had more flexibility at work/school. The program is Mon- Thurs 8-2 or 4-10. I work 7-3. I much rather do days if possible. Working at a hospital you do work some weekends. So I really dont see any favorable/workable option. Even if I did 4-10 I might not make it to school on time if I was coming from work. Kinda dissapointing also because the school has a few locations. The one closest to me doesnt seem to have day classes anymore. The thing is anyways half way thru the program some locations switch to another location. So the the one closest to me switches to somewhere thats not so close. Sorry if rambling on..., its just that I want a good job (fulltime) and for life to really start for me. Im just kind of stuck on how to make it happen.

Im going to have to talk to my new boss soon (she was on vacation). I really dont know her too well. I just wish there was an easier answer. I kind of want to keep my foot in the door just in case I might get a job as an LPN within the system later. Also Im just getting by now and I live with my dad who has had health issues. The pay is pretty good just lack of hours. So I wish I had the option of not working or just working anywhere.
