I am 24 years old and expecting my first child of the end of March. Would it be too much to juggle full time student, work and a newborn? And has anyone made it through nursing while doing it?

Well I'm 28 and was pregnant for the first time with my first child. I was due April 3 and during the fall taking one of my senior level courses. I was planning on not sitting out and continuing considering I had a good support system and the course load wouldn't been as bad since I split my classes up. The school was going to work with me and arrange for me to complete my clinical hours right at the beginning of this semester so I wouldn't be 8 or 9 months pregnant running up and down halls. But anyway I had it all figured out at 21 weeks pregnant , a week before thanksgiving we took our last module exam and after tge break all I had to take was my final exam until the unexpected happened-I went into preterm labor and ended up on complete bedrest in the hospital I was praying and thankful for every day that I still had my baby inside me. By this happening then I worried bout my final but learned that U could just get and Incomplete and make it up anytime just by the end of the semester before the summer which bc of this I was going to sit out. But the Dean offered to bring it to me so I can take. But I didn't make it on Dec. 1 At 22 wks and 4 days I went into labor again and opted for a emergency c-section I knew and understood all the risks being that I had taken Maternal and Child and it was thoroughly explained to me I just wanted to do every thing I could to save him even if it was for a moment. He survived for about 35 minutes after. I stayed in another week came out took another week to prepare mentally and physically and emotionally, made up my final aced it passed the class now I'm in my spring semester more excited that my clincals won't start till next month giving me more time to heal. I'm only taking 1 class now and my last 2 this summer which Ill be graduating! I know this was long but I just wanted to share my story with you not to discourage you but to encourage you. Things happen and it that case with me nobody could tell me why I wasn't working or stressed and overall healthy never smoked or drink period and never did before that. Although we have plans and things can happen what matters is you keep God first and he will see you through it all also having a good support system and the determination within yourself to follow your dreams no matter what! Good luck on your journey!

As long as you have a great support system in your corner, you will be fine. Make sure to have your Plan A,B and C ready just in case. My cousin was in a RN program and got pregnant during her last semester, had to leave for a few weeks but came back and started where she left off, It can be done! Congrats on Your 1st Baby :))

It's possible, but it'll be tough. I have 2 friends in school who had babies right before they started. They're making it. They're tired but here still hanging in there.
