NCLEX--shut off at 85?!?!

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Published

Hi, I am really new at this cool website. I love reading everyones posts, but I now have a question......

Does anyone know anyone that took the NCLEX-PN and it shut off at 85 and that person failed???

Everything that I have read says that when the computer shut off at 85, they have passed, but it can go the other way, right??

Please help me put my mind at ease!!!!:uhoh3::o:uhoh3::o

sillynurse2b tell me more about your work allowing you to work as a student nurse. How does that work?

And thanks for the positive note on the NCLEX

My friend and I took ours at the same time 3 years ago. Ours both shut off at 75. She failed, I passed. She took hers the second time and passed. Main thing is read the question all the way through, take your time, and know you do get more than one chance. You will be fine, I'm sure. I don't know of anyone who has never passed.

It's actually a job that I applied for . I was referred by a classmate of mine that works there. I had an interview yesterday and I was hired, I just have to wait for the paperwork go through the HR department. What they do is, they will let me, as a graduate nurse, do all of the duties of the LVN, pass meds, treatments, etc, under the supervision of the LVN or RN, while I am waiting for my results. They pay a little bit less ($15/hour). Then, once I get my results, if I pass, I will basically be on my own. They will then start me at $20/hour, plus $1 more since I am IV and blood draw certified. If I work the night shift, they will pay me $24/hour.

Sheeesh, I wish that I could get those NCLEX results today!!!
