Hello

So I had a math problem today and I am not sure if I answered it right. The question was you have a 20 ml vial with potassium concentration 10mEq/5 ml , you need to give concentration of 25mEq/500 ml how many ml will you withdraw from the vial , is the answer 12.5 ml ???

Thank you , well I always doubt myself :facepalm:

Hi,

I just finished pharm 1 and I am wondering how you solved this , isn't this a need have problem or u solved it as a ratio?

ratio 10mEq/5ml=25mEq/x

How do you do your problems? We were taught dimensional analysis, if you have it set up right, you will come out with right answer.

Mainegal2000 the answer is 12.5 ml so that's what counts

25mEq | 5mL 125

__________ = ________= 12.5mL

| 10mEq 10

The "if & then" theory always works.

What about the 500ml, is it just a distraction and why
