How soon can you take the NCLEX?

Hello, I am just wondering how soon after completing the nursing program can one take the NCLEX?

As soon as you do all your required paperwork for the State BON, register with Pearson Vue and the school sends all the necessary paperwork to the BON. Once all that is complete you will get notification from Pearson Vue that your ATT is ready...from there you can schedule your test.

Thank you. So basically it just depends on how long the BON takes to process my paperwork and the available testing dates, once thats done.

Thats not too bad. So if all goes well I can sit for the NCLEX 2wks post graduation!

From graduation it took about a month for them to process all of ours and for us to get our ATT!

Congrats on getting through school!!

Thanks, but I havent graduated yet, I still have a couple of weeks left. I just like to plan in an advance!

So realistically, I am looking at taking it a month after graduation?

I tested 2 1/2 wks after graduation for my nclex rn.

Two weeks after I graduated I took my nclex pn.

Have you completed your application and given it to the BON? You can do this while you're still in school! Do that ASAP. Depending on what state you're applying to, the application and fingerprints can take up to two months to go through.

Also, you need to submit your official transcripts, that can take a week after graduation.

Contact your Bon and figure out what you can submit now.
