Help with this dos calc conversion

Hi there- Just doing some dos calc review before my program starts. Need help with this one-

The question is 4 T= ? fl. oz

I thought that 1 tablespoon = 0.5 fluid ounce making the answer 2 fl. oz but the back of the book says 60. Did I mess something up b/c that seems waay off.

If the answer in the back of your book states 60, it is referring to the number of mL.

Since there are 15mL in one T and it is asking how many in 4, the answer would be 60mL.

Perhaps the book meant to ask the question: how many mL are in 4 T? I would ask the professor for clarification so that you don't miss the problem.

I didn't think about that. Im just studying up for when my program starts back. I'm not sure if they will even be using the same books as before, but at least I know that it was a misprint lol! That was a simple question but it had my head spinning

there are also conversions listed in the appendix of taber's if you have your own copy.

1 t (tablespoon) = 1/2 fluid ounce (or, 0.5 fluid ounce)

1 t is also equal to 15 ml

so,

4 t x 15 ml =

60 ml
