Freaking out. . . NCLEX stopped at 85

I just don't know what to do with myself. I took the NCLEX-PN today and it stopped at 85. When I got home I looked up some answers to a few of the questions and I know I got at least 6 or 7 of them wrong and about 6 or 7 that I know I got right which 3 of those were calc questions. I'm trying to keep the faith that I passed, but it is really hard. I've heard of some that pass at 85 and some that fail at 85 and I know the # of quest is just the #. I would at least think that they would've given me a chance to answer a few more questions if I was getting some wrong and I would hate to believe that I was doing just that bad to stop soooooo early! Well, waiting patiently (at least trying to) for quick results in 48 hours.

When I took my exam 10 years ago ( wow! has it been that long already!) mine stopped at 85 and I passed. Had to wait two days before I could get results. Let me tell you, those were the longest two days of my life!

Its hard to believe I have been a nurse 10 years. Where did the time go. I still feel like I have so much to learn. Its definately an ongoing learning process.

Congratulations! Welcome to the world of nursing! Its a very rewarding career.

Yes, thanks be to God I did it!! Thanks to everyone that supported and believed I could do it. I really would not have believed it myself if I had not seen my name and that wonderful new liscense number beside it on the BON website:yeah::w00t::cheers:!!![:an!:

I know how it feels to be in your position, but believe me, before you know it your results will be posted and you can breathe a sigh of relief!! I took my NCLEX-PN last June and was also stopped at 85 questions and passed. I remember just wanting to go home and cry after the test, knowing that I failed it. My advice to you would just be to remain optimistic and confident. You know your stuff! Good luck to you!::cheers:

Congrats to you, im so happy for you!

I just took my boards today in Atlanta GA. I also only had about 85 questions, and am just like you wondering if I passed or not. We all know that they say the questions get harder if you know them and easier if you dont know the answer. Well, for me, when i was taking it I started to get upset because I felt like I kept getting easy questions which made me think that I was getting all of them wrong!! Also I felt like I had no clue to what the answer's where! I had no drug cal but did have like 12 of "choose all that apply" questions. Also there was about 10 questions asking to know which lab values pertained to the question. Now for me, lab values I didnt really pay alot of attention to in school and I feel that maybe that just bit me in the butt. I just want to give you guys a heads up. I will find out in 48 hours. I am trying not to be negative but, its like when you have only 85 you either are above average or really below it and I honestly dont beleive that I was above the average score.......I dont know, but I will let you all know how I did. GOOD LUCK :banghead:
