To begin, Vinal is a State run program and is FAR less expensive than the other 3. Vinal is also much more difficult to get into since the tuition is much lower than the for-profit schools. I went to Lincoln Tech in 2007. I had no problems with it (it was pricey!). However, everyone has a different experience and opinion of things. I can't really help with Lincoln now because I went there so long ago. Things have changed for the better and the worst.

My biggest issue with Vinal is the very, very low NCLEX pass rate they had in 2014 (63% eek!). The private schools have a much better pass rate. But that higher pass rate will cost you big $$ (literally)

I had a friend that went to the CT run LPN programs. They had summer breaks, etc. The for-profit tend to go straight through. Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays but no typical college type breaks such as winter break, spring break or summer break.

Oh, you might want to request that a mod move this to the CT forum. You'll get many more responses if its in that section as its geared toward CT nursing student and nurses.

If a Mod can move the thread would be great! I know Vinal is the only evening program offered at the Technical colleges. I am from Beacon Falls so be a hike to Middletown.
