I attend a lpn nursing school in new jersey that needs to be shut down! Ive been trying to do the "just shut up and graduate" mode for a while now until things began to directly affect me...not sure what the steps are to take with the state,,or if they should even be taken...Am I the only one with horror stories with badly run schools????:typing

Nope I am afraid I attended one of those schools myself. I don't think I could have possibly been in a more unprofessional environment. I just kept on plodding through until I graduated because unfortunately I had put too much time and effort in this endeavor to have to start somewhere else. I could tell you some stories about my program that would curl your hair, but won't waste my energy going into it lol! You will have to decide what is best for you and go from there. Hope it all works out:).

Have a great day!

Doxument and then send your documentation of the violations of their license to operate the school to the New Jersey Board of Nursing. It is the only way the board of nursing can have evidence to begin an investigation.

Sorry to hear about your bad school experience, saddly many schools leave students with that same bad taste. In my experience private & public, it boils down to the teachers/staff/administrators and how committed they are to teaching & how committed the students are to trying.

I've experienced some teachers work hard to help some students while they simultaneously work harder to pressure others to quit (this way the teacher can be the gate-keeper of what type of person enters the profession, regardless of grades!) This instructor made tenior the year before they fired her, after the witnesses & documentation came forward. Documentation, witnesses, keeping a journal when it happens, all these things can help you support your case. Good luck, try to put it behind you by improving your education beyond this experience.
