anyone else counting down

hi there.

i start LPN school 8-26 and i can tell you how many bedmaker shifts i have left. i have only 18. i make beds wed thru fri. and do laundry on the weekends. ill be doing laundry there until i get licensed.

I am sooo excited about school that i cant help but count down the days. even the crap and drama at work doesnt bother me anymore.

anyone else like this. your just counting the days till school starts

I am with you ladies. My school starts Aug. 11th we have a week of pre-req stuff like math review, orientation, etc. that starts the 4th so I am counting down too. We got "homework" to do over the summer though with our acceptance packet learning medical terminology and some anatomy stuff to better prepare us so I have been busy with that. I can't wait till class starts. Good luck to everyone!

does anyone ever think about how much of our life we spend waiting? i am just hoping that this works out for me. i am in need of some good news. i have be trying to get into a traditional nursing program for the last 3 years and have been rejected because i only have a 3.8 gpa. in the schools in my area you have to have at least a 3.94 to get into nursing school.

crossing my fingers that i get in to the lpn program. i need a break for once.

hey there, i too have been counting down the days, my classes start july 9th, in one more day!!! i have been working for my in-laws for over 8 years now and soooo glad i've finally found the path i want. it is so nice to know that i will be out from under their thumb once and for all and now i can really feel like i'm accomplishing things on my own and my husband is totally supportive so that really helps.

good luck with your classes and i guess just enjoy the free time till it turns into study, study, study time.

I know what the waiting game is like as far as waiting to be accepted. It drives you INSANE! Just wait till you find out you ARE accepted, and then the wait for school to start is even more excruciating. I start a 12 month program on August 25th and just got a 50 lb. box of books in the mail. They sit there, and I'm twiddling my thumbs going nuts waiting to start!
