I am currently a CNA and will be applying for LPN school January 2010. The Vo-tech school in which I will be applying is now offering the ACT Compass starting this July, before then they offered the NET. Has anyone ever taken the Compass test if so how is it compared to the NET?

Hello, I took the compass test for both Math and Reading to get into the LPN program also. Reading was easy and so was the math as you were allowed a calculator. In my opnion the Compass test is easier then the NET test. But neither seemed to hard. There is a study guide by ERI for the NET test that you can buy and it's very helpful.

Hi Miaya,

Thanks for the responses it is very informative, is there a study guide for the compass test?

I don't know of one you can buy but try this website, it gives you an idea of whats on there.

I took the COMPASS for my first school choice, and then when I found out the waiting list was insanely long, I took the Accuplacer for my second school choice. The types of questions were identical, only difference was that I could use a calculator on the COMPASS but not the Accuplacer.
