anyone know the starting pay rate

for a new LPN

I hear that the pay at hospitals and nursing homes are different

whats the hospital pay rate compared to nursing homes

or other facilities. I would like to work in a hospital.

Which might be difficult since most hospitals don't really

hire LPN as much.

I know the pay rate differs depending on where you live

but I just want an idea...Thxs

I'm a 7month old grad. in the Tampa area. I work at a SNF and started at $18 with .50 for shift diff. I was offered a promotion to floor supervisor with a $1 raise to be eval'd in 90 days. The only benefits I get are PTO time which equates to about 2 days/month for me.

I have not graduated yet, but I have been looking over the pay rates for my area. I am located in the central valley of California. Graduate LVN can start out making about $21 an hour at SNF units, and about $17 at local hospitals. Of course, there are shift differentials and differences at different facilities. Agencies pay a lot more, but don't offer medical coverage or vacation pay. :twocents:

I do medicare visits for a nursing agency in Florida and i get 26.00 per visit and get between 6 and 8 visits daily. The visits last between 30-60 minutes. This job rocks.

what part of FL? How much do you have to drive though? Sounds awesome!
