OT OR NOT?

I am currently working for a home health agency where i work 43 hours one week and 54 hours another week, every other week. my employer does not pay OT or time in a half. The more hours we work, the less she pays us. she says its a formula she developed. I feel like something isnt right here and that I am entitiled to more than I am receiving. IF anyone has insight on this it is greatly appreciated.

Did your employer make you an exempt employee? Exempt employees are not entitled to overtime, whereas nonexempt workers are.

I'm also an exempt employee, so I receive no OT whatsoever.

"The more hours we work, the less she pays us." WHAT?

Has she bothered to explain this "formula" to employees? What verbiage is in your original or current work contract/agreement with regards to what constitutes a pay period, a normal work week, OT, holiday pay, comp time, reimbursement for mileage, phone, etc.

No I am not an exempt employee. her reasoning was because we get payed by insurance companies and they dont pay OT.

The contract just says something about holiday pay. so basically she says its to allow us to be able to work more hours. I just dont get it. and she tried to explain the formula to me but I didnt understand it.
