It would all depend on the Dr. I would hope your friend would explain to him/her or the Office Manager your situation. I am assuming you've had an interview, so they should know where you stand. Just be upfront & honest with them. Most Dr's offices train you to their standards anyways, so you shouldn't have a problem. I think it's a good 1st nursing job.

I am an LPN who has been out of work the past several years, to be a stay at home mom. I am trying to get back in to nursing soon, but am not sure what is the best area to apply in. After getting my license in '08, I barely worked at all, before quitting to stay home with my kids. So I am basically an entry level LPN. I have a friend who is a receptionist at a local dermatology office, and said she may be able to help get me a job there part time. I am wondering if a dermatology office is a good place to start out as an entry level LPN? Do most dermatology offices train on the job?
