HI

I want to be a LPN. I wanted to know if the courses are hard and if its hard to become a LPN??? I also wanted to know whats the shortest period of time it will take me to become a LPN. can I do it in less then 9 months? I can use all the help I can get.. I was shy at first but everyone on this website are so nice and friendly makes me feel at eas. And I can believe I can be a LPN. Please write back my e-mail is [email protected]

Well as a "late bloomer", your maturity will be an asset in the classroom. Despite what my "name"says I am not an RN yet because as they say "life happens" and I got side tracked. I have a degree in Accounting and I am licensed as a CNA. My degree in accounting is not a waste...I do my own taxes!! But my CNA gets more use. So here I am 17 years after graduating college, I am in an LPN program and doing well. The oldest student in my class is 60...proof its never to late. By the way I am 38 with a son entering college in Fall. RELAX....you'll do just fine!!

I am the wife of a SGT in the Army, we have a 7month old son, and I really want to complete a LPN program! I need some help figuring out how to pay for the HIGH price of daycare, pay my bills/loan, and go to school FT? I am 26 yrs old, and need a blueprint to get started! Do I do the Excelcior online, or go to a community college? Help!

I went to nursing school almost 30 years ago & still remember it as one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my life. After graduation, I'd put my skills next to any other type of nursing education. Good luck, it's worth all the work.

I'm about 9 months into my 11.5 month LPN program. Everyone is right, it will take over your life. Take a longer program over a shorter one, the time crunch is the most difficult aspect. So much to learn in that year and it's all worth it! It isn't extremely challenging but people certainly do fail, it requires a lot of dedication. lots o luck!
