Thanks Cashew for the info on how the nclex-pn works. I finish up the Lvn program about a year ago and I just recently got nclex-pn forms to take the boards. I just started back studying and it's all starting to come back to me, but I'm still very nerves on taking the test. What advice can you give me for preparing for the test, how long did you study before taking the exam? What type of questions or on the exam? What should I focous on? Did you take a review course before hand? What review books would you recommend? Any advice you feel is helpful please share.

Thanks

To Easttxtlvn. where could i find the 20.00/30days questionnaires. Many thanks

I would like to know too.. what course was it?

I am looking into taking the three week NCSBN course review. Any opinions on that? Also, I have meds pub (meds publishing) rewiew that I have from my last semester of class... any opinions?

I used the 3 week NCSBN Course and I feel like out of all the material that I used it was the most helpful for what I saw on the test today!!!! Now the proof will be if I passed or not

How was it?? How many questions did you get?? Lots of priority questions?? I'm so nervous about taking it! I think I will take the NCSBN course too. I feel so unprepared. I hope you passed!

Hi Niki I got alot of priority and teaching questions.... I also got alot of drug questions... I think that my biggest fear is the fact that I woke up so confident and when I left I was really confident but as the day goes on and I think of questions I'm like hmmmmm did I really answer that right???? Also I brought a book by Kaplan that really gave me some good test taking skills like how to look for the stem, then re word the question and rationales on the ones that you are confused on... I took a review and everything that my review teacher stated would be on my test wasn't I am so glad that I invested in other material....and also I think that the NCLEX is a ming test like for instance my questions on lad values the people that they described as the sickest had the normal lad values and the healthy person that they described had the worse lab values now if I didn't know my lab values I would have picked the sickest sounding person???? So now I am already checking The board of nursing website...grrrr......also take the test when you feel that you are ready I was originally scheduled for the 17th then I changed it to the 10th, and then I changed it to the 11th then yesterday as I was studying I was like this stuff is all running together let me take my test and get it over with so yesterday I scheduled it for today I stopped at 85 and I felt pretty comfortable...Now only time will tell...It seems that everybody who leaves feeling like they didn't know anything passed I am hoping that I didn't feel to good and fail

I hope you passed!! It seems like priority questions are popular but the ones that I've read about people on here having seem SO hard!!
