Hi everyone. I love the idea of legal nursing. Im majoring in nursing this fall and LOVE to help and care for people but i also like the business world too especially law. Im 19 years old and will be graduating in 3 years with a bachelors in nursing and a minor in business . What would i need to do to be able to work for an insurance company. Will i be able to work for one right when i get out, or should i stick to being in the hospital for a few years? Are there special courses i need to take to work for a lawyer? What type of business should i minor in for this, and are there any other opportunities similar to legal nursing that involve the business world. All opinons and suggestions are needed. Thanks everyone.;)

hello, wackyj2000 and welcome to the legal nursing forum

i always advise the rn to get some clinical experience before breaking into an lnc career. as for courses to take to work for a lawyer, you should pursue some type of lnc program after about 3-5 years rn experience.

other career choices could be the paralegal and nurse paralegal.

good luck with your future career plans.
