Advantages of Online Learning

While online learning can never replace offerings at the AALNC Educational Conference, it does have numerous benefits including:
  • Convenience – Participants can listen to presentations on their own schedule, any time of day.
  • Increased information retention – Since each of us learn at our own time and pace, the amount of information retained from the presentation is often greater.
  • Lower overall cost – Since there is no instructor or travel involved, the cost of online learning is substantially less than learning similar material in a traditional setting.

Default AALNC and Milazzo Legal Nurse Consulting Programs
Many have asked regarding the Vickie Milazzo program where, after completion and successfully passing the certification examination, the RN will be recognized and earn the title of Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNCŪ).

Vickie is a very dynamic person. She is an RN. After practicing as an RN for a six years, she started practicing as a legal nurse consultant. She then decided to return to law school and graduated JD. She started the Institute in 1994 and has since then educated many RNs as CLNCŪ .

The Milazzo Institute is the nation's oldest and largest legal nurse consulting training institute and the only publishing company devoted exclusively to this field.

There are 2 ways to certify with this program: Home Study and 6-Day Course. These are 40 hour courses (the 6-day course awards 42.2 contact hours). Vickie provides the 6-day course several times a year (approximately 6) at various locations throughout the U.S.

To qualify for the course and national certification, the nurse must have a current and unrestricted RN license (NO BSN required at the time of this writing). It is not necessary to have previous legal consulting experience. The RN is encouraged to have at least 3 years clinical experience prior to taking either course.

Here is a link to the Milazzo Institute where the RN can gather very valuable information regarding this exciting career.

CLNCŪ Certification Program: Basic, Executive, VIP levels

There is post-course mentoring, too. Unlimited mentoring comes with the VIP package. Mentors are available every single day of your career:

CLNCŪ Mentoring

Also, there is an option for 2-day post-course marketing "apprenticeship". You will, along with many others, benefit from tips about how to successfully market your business. During this phase of training, you will receive a marketing packet complete with business cards, letterhead, and brochures along with other items to help you get started:

2-day Apprenticeship

If you have any questions about this avenue to education, the CLNCŪ, please do not hesitate to start a thread and ask away.
