You haven't lived until you've experienced a group interview with potential co-workers. For my current job, I interviewed with the Director of the department then with about 9-10 nurses. Just think of what you would want to ask someone if the shoe was on the other foot, and you'll do fine. I don't know if you have a resume put together, but it's nice to have that for group interivews to give to people. Good luck in your interview!

I just had a peer interview. It wasn't all that bad. A suggestion would be to have questions for the peers as well. They will be honest about the unit you are interviewing for, and the nurse manager if they are not present.

Thanks for the responses - talk about great timing!

I just got the phone call today at 3p that I will be

going in for the group interview tomorrow night at shift change...

Putting my resumes together as we "speak"....

I'm more than a little excited as this is the first official step toward my nursing career...

Thanks again for taking the time to help me out!

I'll hopefully have good news in the next couple of weeks!

Are you interviewing at KU med?

Saint Luke's on the Plaza.

I could be wrong, but I believe that facility is the only one that will hire folks for the Patient Care Technician position without previous healthcare experience.

I don't have my CNA certificate, just a good attitude and strong work ethic!
