my problem w/ visascreen is that i don't have the license in my original country. since when i graduate i left for the USA. i check @ website of cgfns and it looks you can get the visascreen if you held a usa RN license.

what do u think? if can't get the visascreen i will wast my three or fours years wait and finally get nothing! how should I do now? heartbroken!

I called the visascreen dep, and never get valuable answer!!! wait, wait and wait for forever...

thanks a million!:crying2:

Everything is more dependent upon having the appropriate amount of classes and hours to meet the US requirements, then anything else.

There is nothing for your government to sign, if you never took boards there.

do u thinK if the ministry of the health sign for me and indicate that my diploma will allow me to practice will help?

Your credentials, such as your nursing transcripts are verified. Have you taken the appropriate English exams? As long as you completed a four year program, and have apssed the English exams you should have no problem....

The US law requires that you are called a "professional nurse" in your country.

It is up to each state whether they will accept your credentials......

My nursing program is three years. is it still ok? thanks a lot! I am not licensured because I left for USA once I graduate, (one month later!) also, my diploma give me the right to practice as a nurse for one year after graduation. If I have the USA license, and pass the English test, which indicate the I can practice here and also meet the education requirement, why still need my own country license, which is for the nurse to practice there?! Pls advise!

If your educational credentials are accepted by a state in the US for licensure, then you do not need a license from your country. Many nurses come to the US without ever having taken boards in their own country.
