HELLO! im kind a new here could any one give me a sugestion on what to do. im one of the nurse who pass the 2006 june exam, end curently i have no jobs and do not know what to start. i have started to apply for nclex in califonia. but the problem i dont have a licsence. is it posible that i could mail it to the board of nursing in califonia even without a local board? what im going to do with it? (2) question a friend of mine did not make it this 2006 june local bord, is it also posible tha he could take the nclex ?what is he going to do caus, in the requirment you must write a writen explanation why you do not have license?pls help and any sugestion what can i take(exam) or do? while applying

Hi.. We have the same situation... I suggest you read at the international forum and your questions can be answered there... but from what i have read here. Since we passed the current board we can't apply because the state BON needs a copy of our license andwe still don't have it...And about your friend i think he can apply since... he didn't pass he should just write an essay... You can take an english exam... cause you might need it later on... :wink2: have a great day!

You may contact your respective State BON via e-mail or call them up. Their contacts are in their websites. Tell them your concerns fully and do as what they will say.

Another option is to just re-take the NLE. Pls. consider this option. Because eventhough a State BON or CGFNS will eventually allow someone to apply. Some US employers might still be apprehensive to employ someone coming from that batch. If you'll think it over, some of the better hospitals in the Phils. are apprehensive and are still not hiring from that batch what more for US employers. Sure, maybe some will but your options are limited already.

All of the above are just merely suggestions and my humble opinions but the decision is yours.

One thing for sure is.... to contact your respective State BON and CGFNS.

You can apply to the CA Board of Registered Nursing even with out a philippine license.
