a newly grad of BSN in the phil last april 2011, didn't take the local board and just filed my application last september is it true that the CBON is asking for more requirements than usual? im afraid i wont be able to comply with all the requirements, i currently live in LA, california

hi! not sure if they have made changes with their requirements now. but from my experience, they didnt require me other than the usual. when are you planning to take the exam?

It appears they have changed some things but really best ones to answer would be the BRN themselves

I received a letter from BRN weeks after I sent them my application. They are asking to give additional requirements not mentioned in their website such as:

-copy of ur clinical rotation schedule for your cases: Assisted/Actual deliveries, cord dressing and major/minor surgeries

-A complete school curriculum hundred pages or more sent directly from ur nursing school to the board. (the board doesn't accept the condensed version of the curriculum

-a one page curriculum outline and academic calendar.

(My school said this is the first time CA BRN required school curriculum but maybe different depending on what school)

they also asked for a copy of my local license and SS number.

I am also a Phil grad batch 2011 living in west covina CA :)

still waiting for ATT, goodluck to both of us :)

hi i filed my application form last september but theres quiet a delay with the mailing so yea i guess itll take much longer, hopefully around february :)

i guess so, my friend didnt have any problems though she was able to take the exam last september, wasnt able to get a hold of her after, im a phil grad too and ddnt take the local board in the phil, yea goodluck to us :)
