Hi. I am doing a paper on online education for nurses. I am interested in post-RN BSN and Advanced Graduate degree information. Also if anyone knows of other certified courses offered online ie. specialties. Soo..anyone who has done a degree or diploma or anything through online distance learning please refer me to an informational site or give me the lowdown. IE. prices, evaluation, difficulties-pros and cons. ANY LEADS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Mount Royal is very well known for providing excellent on-line courses. A friend is currently doing their forensics course. http://www.mtroyal.ab.ca . I would also look into BCIT.

I am currently working on my Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing, through Charles Sturt University in Australia. I find it reasonably priced (total degree cost approx. $3000 Cnd), and a very manageable academic program. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a "degree from home"!:)

You may obtain a BScN. via Laurentian University via distance education (Sudbury, Ontario) Also, you may obtain an BN via Athabasca University via distance education through Alberta.

Many other colleges/universities offer specialities, etc...the only other advise I will offer you is to shop around and see who will give you the most for your past education/employment experiences.

It's probably a little off the topic but you can renew your certifications on-line such as ACLS and PALS

I have six classes left from Athabasca U for my BN and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I love the freedom that I have with respect to my schedule and my family. I love working at my own pace. The thought of returning to a traditional classroom sends shudders through me.
