New Grad and waiting on NCLEX results

Hi All,

First, great forum! This place seems to have good resources.

I am hoping that there are people here who would be able to provide some insight on what the next step should be for me.

I graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing from Alabama and moved to San Diego in May where i currently reside. Just gave my NCLEX exam and am waiting for the results which should arrive in the next few days.

I originally came here on an F1 visa and am currently on my optional practical training (OPT).

Most hospitals i checked with (online) stated 1+ years experience required. Is it hard to find RN jobs for recents grads in San Diego? Although my opt allows me to work right away until May 2009, i will require sponsorship after that.

Anyone have recommendations or know someone in HR? :D or someone who has been through this and been sucessful?

Also, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Thank You!

Moving this to the International forum as you will have some issues as you are affected by retrogression and will either have to return back to your own country once you have completed OPT or continue as a student.

Welcome to the site. There are many threads on retrogression and many nurses are affected and you can not adjust your status at the moment and doubt that window will reopen for a long time
