Hey everyone,

Both my girlfriend and I will be completing our 4 year Bachelor of Science (BScN) next year and will be working locally for a few months to pay of loans before moving anywhere.

We would like to move somewhere warm and sunny. We've 'briefly' looked into various states and were thinking of California, Texas, or North Carolina. California seems to be number one on the list. From what I've read, it seems to be one of the higher paid states for nurses.

Would anyone have know any reputable agencies that are seeking Canadian nurses in the states I listed above? If so, could you provide their website.

Thank you

Which part of California? What specialties?

Send me a resume if you wish and I will look at it for you, then I can make some suggestions, if you want........

Bw aware that you won't be able to apply for US licensure until after you have a full set of completed transcripts to be submitted. This will be required for both the Board of Nursing and CGFNS for the Visa Screen Certificate. The VSC is needed for you to get your TN Visa, if that is the route that you are going.

Hi X-Treme! I wish you and your GF all the best with you relocation. While California's salaries are good, the cost of living there is VERY high. You can may similar salaries in Texas and Louisiana where the cost of living is much lower. I moved from New Orleans, LA. to Houston, Texas. The weather here is warm and humid...and can get downright HOT in the summer.

I am actually thinking of relocating to Vancouver next year. Any info/advice on obtaining my RN licensure. Can you recommend any hospitals in the area and places to live? Thanks so much and let me know if I can help you further. You can send me a PM.
