NBI Clearance

World International

Published

I recently got my NBI clearance. On the remarks portion I noticed that its says "NO DEROGATORY RECORD"

The previous NBI clearance I got 6 months ago had this remark "NO RECORD ON FILE"

I would like to know if this is OK for embassy interview requirements or do i need to get a note from NBI re:this matter.

Any inputs?

Thanks!

The note is absolutely fine. I've checked the NBI Clearance I presented to the Embassy (London), the remarks is the same as yours.

Good luck.

while spending hours searching for other answers ( or may i say supporting ideas to reduce anxiety) to my questions over the net, i found these things (related to my question on nbi clearance.) informative. feel free to comment.

[color=#0000bf]if the remarks on you nbi clearance is:

[color=#0000bf]no record on file[color=#0000bf] - it is issued for those who requested for their nbi clearance for the first time

[color=#0000bf]no derogatory record[color=#0000bf] -is issued upon renewal of nbi clearance but means clean record also and should be acceptable.

[color=#0000bf]no criminal record[color=#0000bf] - means there is a civil case/record on file

[color=#0000bf]from the manila embassy website:

nbi clearance.[color=#0000bf] applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid record clearance for travel abroad purposes from the national bureau of investigation (nbi). an[color=#0000bf] official letter of explanation from the nbi is required[color=#0000bf] for[color=#0000bf] any notation of "[color=#0000bf]no criminal record[color=#0000bf]", [color=#0000bf]nopending criminal case[color=#0000bf]" or "[color=#0000bf]with derogatory record[color=#0000bf]." nbi is located along taft avenue in manila. for immigration purposes, an nbi clearance is considered valid only for a year from the date it is issued.
