License Surrendered ..

...Please Help...Any Ideas Welcome!!

I won't divulge details of location etc, but I had to surrender my license about a year ago, due to a loss of job, due to my problems with performing the job and an event where I blew up in anger and swore at a coworker (called her a *******) in front of another manager and a couple of patients.

I am having a heck of a time trying to get it back! I never knew it would be such an ordeal. The college wants a psychiatric/medical assessment done that will be a hefty price(that I have to pay), and it does not necessarily mean they will side in giving back my license...but then again they might....

I have not worked in nursing a lot, have graduated 20 years ago, not looking to work in a high stress area, have had a few years of medical issues that prevented me from pursuing a solid nursing career, but now in my life I feel that having my license would still be to my benefit, even if it means a less paying, less prestigious career that is not in a hospital (eg. clinics, family practice, dermatology offices, etc).

I am a great wife and mother..and I would like to be the best in a career that suits me as well..

Any thoughts??????

What are the odds that the college reinstates my license again? Have any of you any ideas on this?
