KINDLY HELP ME....

hi, i am a registered nurse from the phils. i passed the phil.board exam dec of 2006, unfortunately until this moment i do not have any hospital experience. i am interested to work and live in australia. for a month, i've been searching the net for ways to enter the country. finally, i have decided to apply for eligibility to the nursing board of victoria and queensland. i would like to clarify if my searches are in the right direction...i have listed down my understanding of the steps to do to enter the country and become a registered nurse...

1. apply for assessment of eligibility to the nursing board of victoria and queensland(is this ok?to apply at the same time to the two territories?)

2. wait for result of the assessment(how long will this take normally?)

3. receive a letter from the nursing board of victoria&queensland--this letter may either...

a.) grant my application which will allow me to either..

a1. take the bridging course(11-13 weeks--what is the name of the course?is it pre-registration course

for international nurses leading to division 1 nurse?is this a non award course?is this course name the

same for victoria and queensland?)

a2. take the challenge test (theory and clinical--where will i apply for this if i opt to take the challenge

test?)

(are these options the same for victoria and queensland?or queensland has these two options, while in

victoria, one has to do the bridging course?provided that there are these two options, which is

better?which is cheaper?)

b.) deny my application for eligibility(is there a possibility of denial?what will be the grounds for denial?is work

experience one ground for denial? is it really required before the board grants permission to take

the bridging course or the challenge test?i am worried of denial specially for my case, i do not have

work experience since i passed the phil. board exam in dec 2006)

4. if allowed to take the bridging course, the letter from the board of nursing is one requirement for the education provider before being admitted to the course(is this true?)

5. once accepted by the education provider, they will send an acceptance letter(this acceptance letter..is this the requirement of the embassy for application for visa?do you have any suggestion of education providers?ive search the net and found list of education providers..which is the best choice among the education providers in victoria and queensland?which is the cheapest but offers quality training?)

6. apply for visa http://www.immi.gov.au (what type of student visa will i apply for?what visa option?im confused with vocational education and training and the non-awards visa option.in what visa option does my application appropriately fall in?i understand that it is important to choose the correct visa to avoid denial from the embassy)

7. regarding challenge test(please give me some insights, advice, infos and options)

i would very much appreciate it and be very thankful to those who will take time to help me with my queries. my sincerest thanks to those who will have a kind and helping heart. :saint:
