International nursing in Saudi Arabia

Is anyone interested in working in Saudi Arabia? If so, email me as I worked at the best hospital there for 16 years and would be happy to tell about my experience. Met my English husband there and have 2 kids now. We have been back in USA for 2 years but Ihave not worked as a nurse since returning (too busy). :)

I am very interested in the amount of money that I can make over in Saudi. I am an endoscopic nurse. What agency would you recommend going with? Any other information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi! I am glad to hear your work experience in Saudi Arabia. I wanted to work there but is having apprehensions. I have been called for job interviews by 5 agencies already all for Middle East countries including Saudi Arabia. So what can you advise?

This does seem like an interesting opportunity. I have college friends from SA and have visted Dubai. Anyone with info?

The original post was made in 2001 so you are unlikely to get a response from the OP.

Hi! Dubai is a great place to live! It is an open city. Nurses are paid better than other part of the emirates, though some hospitals are planning a raise to prevent everyone from leaving. Been there... waiting for that promise, till it's time for me to leave... Just heard recently my friends will receive their increase within this year (Inshallah).

If you want good hospital to work, you can try Sheikh Khalifa Medical Center, Mafraq Hospital (Located in Abu Dhabi) or Tawam Hospital (Al Ain). They have more modern equipment and have the best facilities, plus they pay good. Try looking for their website in the www.

Thanks for the information Jeema.

I didn't think the OP would answer, but I thought it would bump the thread and new folks with info would respond. :rotfl:

thanks Jeemah. Your response is very encouraging. I think I might as well go on with that job interview. Wish me luck! I am making notes on the hospital you've mentioned. Thanks once again.
