Hi everyone!

I just took my nclex exam last week and failed!

I graduated 2006 In the philippines, so its kinda hard to refresh my memory regarding content.

I tried Kaplan review plus their qbanks questions but i guess it didnt help me much.

What reference/book you guys think that would help me to refresh my knowlegde and help me answering nclex questions?

Thank you Guys!

ATI books and CD/online tests are great resources. They come as a set and are usually available fairly cheap as a set or separately on e-bay or book selling sites. The tests are designed dead on like NCLEX questions and provide feedback on why your answer is right or wrong, and when applicable provide extra information on the incorrect answers.

It is also helpful to read the question carefully for keywords that might exclude one or two answers on the NCLEX questions. Most of the questions are more about critical thinking than actual content knowledge. This doesn't make it easier, just a different kind of challenge.

I am also internationally trained and finished nursing school in 1996. I successfully sat the NCLEX in April 2014. I used Saunders comprehensive review worked through the entire book and answered as many practice questions as I could find. I also used kappa n's decision tree to help me breakdown questions and to work through the answers and applying hierarchy of needs also helped. I trained in UK. PM me if you think I can help you x

I used hurst for knowledge, kaplan for strategy and watched barbaras strategy videos, i absolutely loved hurst, they brought up my knowledge base so much, made complex appear simple! I passed on my 2nd attempt , exactly 8 weeks after my first attempt using this method
