It could be any of a number of things, perhaps they forgot to include something with your documents, suggest that you follow up with the attorney that submitted your papers.

Soem take months to get approval, others get them in just a few weeks, do you also know which center is processing your papers? Just because you both filed the same day, they could be in two separate service centers and that also makes a difference.

Texas is faster right now, but no one has any choice as to where their petitions will get sent for actual processing.

Your attorney is correct, each file is reviewed individually. No news in this case, is good news.
