It can be anyone's guess, just depends on who is signing off on the visa the day that your papers go thru....................since you have a documented job in the UK, you have an easier chance...........but these are decided on a case by case basis.

My personal opinion would be to wait until you get your immigrant visa, unless it really is a necessity, becasue if you get turned down for this visa, it could cause you some grief later on. It isn't supposed to, but that is how things work.............

umm. well, Tough. maybe i'll try, maybe not. Let you guys know what the outcome will be. Thanks Suzanne.:) :) :)

If they denied your tourist visa, it will cause some problems later when you go to the emvbassy for the interview date. By your name, I think you are a Filipino and I tell you how people at the embassy discriminate Filipino nurses who apply for tourist visas.

A friend of mine working in London got a tourist visa when he applied but he has no pending application in the US.

In your case, since you have an approved petition and a pending immigrant visa, they will think you have other plans aside form visiting and would likely denied your visa.

If is not important, just wait, as Suzanne said

Thanks for the advice REP. by the way,

are you working in USA now? :)

the percentage chance your application for a tourist will be denied is so high because of the pending petition for you. ( it may be construed as conflict of interests ) if you really need to travel to the US, apply for an authorization for parole of an alien into the US. perhaps, you will have more chances to be approved. but if your travel is not that necessary, why take unnecessary risks.
