Filling Up the IELTS application form

I just downloaded the IELTS application from from the IDP website. I am unsure on how to answer these following items:

  • General Training or Academic?
-If my purpose for taking the IELTS is for application of Canada immigrant visa.
  • IELTS type of test: Pen and Paper / Computerised IELTS (CB IELTS) ? If you are taking the CB IELTS are you taking the writing test on Paper?
-If I am going to take the exams in Manila.
  • Institution Applications
-Is this part necessary if I want the results sent to my home address? What should be placed here?

As long as you meet the country's IELTS requirements you can use it for several countries but remember the results has to be usually within 2 years (check with country) and direct from where you took the exam

Think Academic is the one generally required for nursing

I see, so in case the validity is good for 2 years only, do I have to retake the whole exam to renew it? My plan was to take it early and if ever it expires before I even leave or process my visa, I just have to pay.

Anyone else have ideas on these:
  • IELTS type of test: Pen and Paper / Computerised IELTS (CB IELTS) ? If you are taking the CB IELTS are you taking the writing test on Paper?
-If I am going to take the exams in Manila.
  • Institution Applications
-Is this part necessary if I want the results sent to my home address? What should be placed here?
