My CVS service under CGFNS for NY are already processing and the only thing that they are waiting are the transcripts from my school.

My problem is when i passed the application for the CVS service last January 2008 i am not yet license here in the philippines so they waived it but last feb the results came out and i passed the nursing exam. I emailed CGFNS and asked them what should i do? they told me to send a new authorization form and write the license number and they will just change my status if they receive it. But i havent register yet my sched is at the end of the month.

So is it ok if i will not declare anymore my license? coz i am worried that it will prolong the processing. And also when is the right time to submit my NY application to the NYS education should i already submit it now or wait till CGFNS receive and view my documents?

Your help will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, but not declaring it at this time could get in much trouble later on as you need to have a Visa Screen Certificate to be able to work in the US and if the information does not match up, it will delay you significantly and can be constued to be immigration fraud and grounds from keeping you from getting a visa in the US in the future.

It will prolong the processing much more if they know that you have not submitted the license and since they are aware that you have written the exam at this time, you have no choice but to wait and then submit it.

In case you are not aware, you are under the retrogression as well.

I see, but what if i have a diff visa processing? Because i am under the k1 visa. Is my local license still important? Thank you.

With the K-1 visa petition, you do not need the VSC. However, the CVS is completed by CGFNS and withholding any information from them is grounds for them not to give approval on the CVS, and that could cause you problems in the future.

If you never wrote the NLE, then there would not be any issue; but the fact is that you did write it, and therefore need to be able to produce what they are asking for.

CVS actually is the one that will obtain the information for you, so there is nothing that you can do but wait. What they need for you to send to them is another authorization form permitting them to obtain the new document for your file. That is why you need to place your license number on it and they will then get the needed verification from the PRC.

You are going to be delayed one way or another with this and because of this. Be aware that the PRC publishes a list of all that write the exam, and CGFNS has it as well.

K-1 visa is for immigration purposes only and has nothing to do with licensure.

Best of luck to you.

Ok, i understand it now. Thank you suzanne i think i will just submit an authorization letter to the CGFNS as soon i registered here so i will not have any problem in the future.

But i have another question, when do u think is the right time for me to submit my NY application to NYS education should i submit it now or wait until the CGFNS receive and view my documents. Thank u again.

NY will not even look at your application until they have the CVS in their hands. Up to you whether to send it now, but I would not.
