I believe that these assignments are meant to take the nursing student out of their comfort zones and teach them how to ask difficult questions of a complete stranger. The interview process is the most important assessment tool that a nurse has at her disposal in the appropriate care of her patient for optimal outcomes. There are many verbal and non-verbal clues that can be obtained while interviewing the patient that far exceed any physical assessment.

The ability to deal with people and gain their trust in minute so that they trust a complete stranger with the most intimate details of their lives, things they may not even share with the most trusted person in their lives, so that we can care for them in the most optimal manner....... Is a fine tuned skill. One that I believe, cannot be obtained on an internet forum. One that may or may not be from a real nurse.

That being said.....you might try the international/world forum for a more diverse international community.
