The exam is only written in Canada and only three times per year: February, June and October. The cost of the exam varies by province with the average being somewhere around $500-600; the deadline for applications is generally about 90 days before the examination date. You cannot just write the exam though. First you have to apply for registration in the province of your choice and have your credentials assessed. If your credentials meet requirements you'll be given eligibility to write the exam. This process may take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

The actual trip to Canada to write the exam will cost somewhere around $2000 Cdn for return plane fare from Manila to (for example) Vancouver and a 5 night stay in a low budget hotel based on today's rates.

There aren't all that many jobs available for IENs in Canada these days, but perhaps by the time you've wended your way through the registration and immigration process there may be. Please read the following threads also: Internationally Educated Nurses - VERY IMPORTANT - READ THIS FIRST
