Word of advice: You no longer need CGFNS exam for many of the states.
If you are not rostered for July, I would seriously think twice about taking it, especially due to the time frame involved. NCLEX is being offered in London beginning in January.

If you have any specific questions please let me know.............

Thank you Suzann for your answer.

But are you sure that most of states now don't ask for the CGFNS? Do you know the list of this states?
    Have a good day.

It will be easier for me to tell you what to do if you tell me where you want to work. I am definitely sure of what I am talking about. I answer these questions for everyone here seven days per week, if you look at any of the threads on this international forum....................

There are some different requirements but you can usually get by without the exam.

I'd like to work in Los Angeles CA or Nashville TN because I've got friends there.

California will take you about two years to get a green card. It is taking 6 months minimum time to receive an ATT letter to sit for NCLEX. The petition time afterwards is over 13 months for the I-140. Just as an example..
I would highly recommend NY for fastest licensure....everything can be done in under a year, including a green card in hand. Vermont handles petitions for NY and they are just about 30 days out, big difference.
Plus, if you apply to CA, then decide that you wish to go to TN instead, you will have problems endorsing from CA as they will not issue you a license until you have a Social Security Number. They will only send you a letter stating that you have met all requirements for licensure. They will not complete any endorsement papers for you until your hard copy has been issued.
