Please have a good read of the requirements for licensure for the state that you are interested in. Rules and requirements are continuously changing, and we are hearing of more and more now almost on a daily basis.

NM now requires the CES before they will look at your application.

AZ requires proof of citizenship or green card before they will issue a license to you, no longer being issued if you are not legally permitted to be working in the US.

Please feel free to post updates here so we can keep our listings current.

thanks suzanne for the updates. i took my nclex last september 2006 and my file with CA BON will end on September 2009 if i cant get in to the US by that time. I have been planning to endorse my exam results to NM on

April 2009 so that I can get a license and buy time while retro is ongoing. CA is still my best option but I cant have my licenes without the SSN.. So...

hmmm.. this concern is another obstacles for me to solve..

I passed CG, got my certificate and also have Visa Screen..

I wonder if they will consider my CG Certificate instead of asking CES. I believe that passing CG means that you have passed also the academic standard of CGFNS which also issues the CES..

Will be happy to hear your point of view... im sure others will also share their comments here..

Actually, to write the CGFNS exam, the school does not even need to submit the actual transcript, but complete a one page form listing all of your hours in both clinical and theory classes.

The CES is a complete credentials eval and is not the same as the CGFNS Certificate and the Certificate cannot be used in its place for most states.

The ones that have permitted the Certificate were the ones that had required it before, but have since changed to the CES only, and then it was only for a limited time. NM never required the CGFNS exam, so they are asking for the CES and that is what you will need to provide for them if you wish to be licensed there.
