I just wanted to share this. My daughter had skin CAMRSA when she was 15 months (It is likely that i brought it home from the hospital). She was treated with bactrim and lanced. After treatment, small dots of MRSA came back about 3 months later and some began to develop into small pus-filled pimples. I was very frustrated with the treatment options, because all they seem to do is built up resistance.

I began tea tree oil application and she did really well. She has 2 incidents of very light break outs, but it has been 9 months since the last one. Lesions go away within 24 hours of multiple applications and she has not had an abscess since she was diagnosed (she is 4.5 years now).

This stuff smells horrible, but it works so well.

Since I was a young child, I have suffered on and off from a red raised rash that comes and goes. When it comes, it also itches. Prior to being a teenager, the doc put me on a 10% sulfer solution. Needless to say when the teenage yrs started, it was not a good smell. I quit it. Later I was given pills, lotions, etc to take. Nothing helped. A few yrs ago I was told to use medicated selsun blue 2 or 3 times a week. Wow this work. About two weeks ago my wife got some tea tree oil to try. The itch is gone, the rash is gone, and it feels good. Yea it smells, but not that bad. I am a beliver also in tea tree oil.

I have used it on my son to treat his cold sores. As a child he seemed to have cold sores one after the other but after a few treatments with tea tree he stopped getting them at all - he hasn't had one for years.

I know somebody who would have outbreaks of foliculitis when they were stressed out. They used tea tree oil and it seemed to clear it up and work better than neosporin (which is recommended).

Manuka honey! Works on just about every microbe... and it doesn't smell bad. It is a bit messy though :)
