ASN program in Anderson?

U.S.A. Indiana

Published

I am going to apply for the April 1st deadline for Lawrence, but also Anderson and Columbus. Does anyone attend the program at the latter campuses? Can you offer any information on the points you had and got in? Just curious. I lost my job at the beginning of the month so I had to bump up my anticipated start date and now am trying to get in for the fall. I have an A in PSYC 101, B in APHY 101, and am taking 102 and ENGL 111 right now. I am pretty sure I can pull off an A in English but I am worried about 102. I am taking my TEAS this coming Friday.

Any information would be great!

Kgle, sorry to hear you lost your job. That stinks to say the least. But wow you are applying for fall now? Best of luck to you! I might apply to Anderson as well but still not until Jan. 2010 start.

Yeah, I am going to have to now. I have to do the unemployment thing and for now I am going to focus on this semester. I figure I am better off just applying for the Fall and starting earlier than I had planned.

I am going to apply this spring to Lawrence and Anderson as well. When I went to the info session for Anderson, they said the lowest score that got into the ASN program, she thought, was a 201. I spoke to a girl the other day, however, who is in the program at Anderson and she had 3 A's and 1 B and an 82 on her Teas and got into the ASN program (she also did not live in the region). I don't know anything about Columbus, but I heard (and of course, I cannot confirm) that the lowest score for the Lawrence Campus last semester was a 206. Now, I know that there are fewer applicants that apply for the spring semester than for the fall, but I don't know if that means the scores are higher. I don't know if this helps at all! This is so stressful isn't it???

Oh man yeah its getting so frickin stressful. I think the highest I may have is a 200 unless I KILL the TEAS tomorrow and get over a 90%. The lowest I will have is going to be under 200. That is for Anderson without the in region points.

I may have to suck it up and deal with LPN instead...

I need to get the other campuses info session dates!

Good luck on the Teas tomorrow. I just took it for the second time on Monday and got an 88...I don't know if I should take it again or not before the April 1 deadline. Try not to stress too much (easier said than done, I know) I am just trying to stay focused on 102. I will be so happy when this semester is over...I just wonder, are the actual nursing programs as stressful as the application process??? If so, it is going to be a long 2 years!! :)

Oh my gosh tell me about it! I just retook the practice tonight and scored an 88. My bf helped me study some chemistry and physics and explained a lot of it. So I know a little more now about that than I did before, but earth science is still a blur I'm afraid :(

If I don't get into RN though I will be happy with LPN and I don't think I should have any issues at all getting into that, but I will keep my fingers crossed! I'll let ya know how I did!

Good luck Kara!

IF you didn't get in for RN and went LPN, you could eventually do an LPN-BSN program because a few of those are out there! I bet though that even if you didn't get in to Lawrence RN, you would get into Anderson or Columbus RN. But think positively, you will do great on the TEAS and will get into Lawrence!

Yeah if I do LPN, I will do the LPN-RN bridge program afterwards, so either way I will eventually become an RN!

Anderson's next info session date is March 19th (Thursday) at 10 am in Rm 311. I will be there!

Yep that's the one I am going to. If you are going to the 10am session then I shall be there too! We'll have to meet up and sit together. I am the loser that hates sitting by herself LOL

Okay I'll see you there! (unless I have a sick kid that day or something like that!).
