Mercy Hospital Chicago

  1. I am a nursing student in Chicago and I am currently doing a clinical there. I have heard a couple of nurses mention something about being a collegiate where you would get paid more than a CNA and allowed to perform more tasks with the nurse. If anyone has heard of or done this program can you please provide information about what its like & how you would get in touch with the nurse recruiter. Thanks so much in advance.

They are called nurse extern positions...... but they usually run over the summer and then they hire some into positions. You just need to call the individual facilities themselves.

    google it.....

no what i was looking for is not an externship...i know what those are. it's called a collegiate position where u get to do CNA type things, but with more autonomy as a nursing student so to speak
