Good ADN schools?

I really am only looking to go for my associates in nursing. I hear College of Du page has a waiting list out the door. I also hear it is not accredited, I am not sure thats true though. Is there a school without a waiting list out the butt someone recommends? :redbeathe

Most of the associate degree levels are going to have waiting lists. I heard Chamberlain doesn't have a waiting list. Unfortunately you're gonna pay like $70,000 for that degree.

I don't think Oakton (Des Plaines) has a waiting list, I'm waiting to hear back from them. A bunch of the nurses on my unit went there, and I know several girls currently in the program. Everybody seems to like it, or at least think that it prepares you well for the NCLEX.

Just about any program is going to have a waitlist or a very competitive points process. For most of the community colleges, you also have to live in the district because demand is so high they are only considering in district for nursing. As for accreditation you can look at the nlnac website. I am certain they accredite most of the ADN programs. Another accredites the BSN and beyond programs (I forget...it starts with a C). Not sure what kind of prereqs you have, but odds are you're going to have to wait a little while to start since most of the schools make you apply almost a year out. Good luck!
