First off, congrats on completing your LPN! :yeah:

Which part of Illinois are you looking at trying to go to school in?

Prarie state has a RN program, not sure about a bridge though. South Suburban I know does, www.southsuburbancollege.edu, and there is a newer program in Crown Point, IN through the university of St. Francis, www.sfc.edu/crownpoint, which is a part time program for working nurses.

Prairie State college does have a bridge program but they only accept student once a year in August, which means you couldn't bridge until January 2010. The way it works is Prairie State allows you to test out of the first semester of the nursing program. Once you pass the test then you are allowed to bridge into the first year, second semester (leaving three semester until graduation). The test covers everything you should already know...just fundamentals. I believe the deadline date is Febuary 1, but check the website. South Suburban starts up every semester so check them also. I have heard that they give you the run around but check it out yourself. Everybody, depending on experience, see things differently. Hoped this helped.

I am appling for Prairie State program( LPN-RN bridge 2010). I am out district, but they said they do admit out district students. Anyone know, how hard is to get into their program? Do you know if is there any study guide for Nurs 101(to test out of it)? Any help, would be very apreciated.

Just stay away from the city colleges. Politically corrupted and money hungry, based on my experience. Google city colleges of chicago and read threads on this site.

I still have friends who completed their nurisng programs - successfully and the college won't give them their earned degrees.

I wish you luck and keep studying.

PEACE
