DePaul's MENP program

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hello- I'm new to this site and I wanted to know if anyone else has applied to Depaul's MENP program for January 2013. I also want to know what the average GRE scores are for incoming classes

Thanks

No : ( I messed up my personal statement and then fixed it- then was deferred to apply for the winter cohort and resubmitted my transcripts but no one acknowledged me so I just figured I blew it : (. I was contacted later (way after the deadline) but I have already started my application with rush. I messed up my chances with depaul- but I wish you all the best! : )

sorry to hear that :( Best of luck with Rush though!! let me know how it goes!!

All I can say is that DePaul MENP Program is not worth the investment. It's a complete waste of time, money, and resources. My advice for potential students? Go the BSN route in a reputable school that would treat all their students with respect and dignity. To me, going through the DePaul MENP Program was a DISASTER. It was the WORST mistake of my life. Looking back, I wish I had tored the acceptance letter into pieces when I received it. I wish I had rejected it. You will be a target if you speak out your mind. The director and some faculty members will ensure they make your life a living HELL if you stand up against injustice, inequalities, and unfairness. Well, the ball is in your court. You can go check it out. It's up to you.

Yikes! I'm so sorry it was a bad experience : (

Did you complete the program? I hope everything has worked out in the end for you.

I did get accepted to rush- yay!!- and am starting next month : )

If you don't mind, can you elaborate on why you feel so strongly about DePaul?

No, I didn't complete the program. They found a very controversial avenue to dismiss me, after expending about $52,000 in tuition. They possibly see some excellent potentials in me that poses a threat to all their injustice and biases. I can tell you right now that if they see a student acting like a civil right celebrity, he/she will be somehow forced out of the program by way of dismissal. I was averaging A in the very course I got dismissed. They found a way, in the clinical settings to deemed me not fit to continue in the program.

Life without DePaul has been great for me. I have no regret. They will live with the consequences of their actions for the rest of their lives.
